Mynderse Academy Football Team Shows Appreciation for Its Athletic Trainer’s Focus on Safety
March is National Athletic Training Month, an opportunity to spread awareness of the impact athletic trainers have on work, life, and sports. The slogan for this year’s campaign is “Essential to Healthcare,” which calls attention to an athletic trainer’s commitment to helping people prevent injuries and stay active and healthy. This was demonstrated more than ever throughout the pandemic, where athletic trainers stepped up to provide COVID-19 screenings, administer tests, and assisting in the implementation of protocols across settings.
To commemorate the Athletic Trainer keeping our athletes safe, the Mynderse Academy football teams will be sporting the logo for the New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association on their helmets this season.
We would like to recognize our Trainer, Andrew Meister, for providing outstanding care to our student-athletes throughout the school year. Andrew has worked well with our Health Services Department, our coaches and parents, and most of all our student-athletes.
On behalf of the Mynderse Academy community thank you for all of your efforts, expertise, and dedication. We very much appreciate all that you do.
