SFCSD Superintendent Search Process and Community Survey

SFCSD Superintendent Search Process and Community Survey

Dear Seneca Falls Community:

As you know, Mr. McKeveny will retire at the end of this school year.  Our community has been incredibly well served by Bob’s steady leadership for many years and replacing him is a daunting task.  To assist us in finding a new superintendent, the Board of Education has contracted with the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education to facilitate our search efforts.  Our search will be coordinated by Mike Ford, Director of Leadership Development at the Warner School and former superintendent of the Midlakes School District.  He will be assisted by Mr. Matthew Frahm, superintendent of the Naples Central School District.

Our consultants are currently in the process of recruiting candidates for this position, and will be doing so through early January.  The Board of Education will conduct screening interviews in mid-late January and approximately three final candidates will then meet with stakeholder committees, as well as the Board of Education, in early February.  We hope to make a decision shortly thereafter.  Our selected candidate will then begin on July 1.

As we begin our search, we would appreciate the input of our community.  We would like to know what you believe we should be looking for in our next superintendent.  To that end, we ask that you complete a short survey.  The survey should take five-ten minutes to complete.  We will use the information to finalize the profile of our desired candidate.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation and continuing support of our schools.
