About the District

Frank Knight Elementary School and Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary School

Frank Knight Elementary School and Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary School provide elementary K – 5 students with a Balanced Literacy approach that supports all instructional programs (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies).  Guided Reading and Writers’ Workshop approaches provide students with a strong foundation of reading, writing, and literacy skills.  ELA and Math instruction is based on the NYS Common Core Learning Standards.  Students also receive instruction in Physical Education, Art, Music, Computer Skills, and Library Skills.  Expanded choral and instrumental program opportunities are provided to students in grades 3, 4, and 5.  Formal instrumental lessons are offered to fifth graders.  Special Education services, reading support, and counseling services are also provided.  Frank Knight Elementary School special events/activities include Environmental Awareness Week, Reading/Language Arts Weeks, Veterans Day Recognition, and Grand Friends Days.  Community connections and partnerships are evident and result in assemblies that support the instructional program.  Dedicated teachers provide support to students during the school day and through a variety of after-school opportunities.  Strong Parents’ Teams provide support to both the school and students.
 

Seneca Falls Middle School

Seneca Falls Middle School provides middle school students with core area instruction in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language.  Core area instruction is complemented by courses in Physical Education, Art, Music, Library Skills, Computer Skills, Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Education, Chorus, Concert Band, and Jazz Band.  ELA and Math instruction is based on the NYS Common Core Learning Standards.  Guidance services, Special Education services, Academic Intervention Services, reading support, and counseling services are also provided.  Extra-curricular offerings are provided and include Student Council, Modified Sports (Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Cross-Country, Tennis, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, and Lacrosse), and Drama Club.  A strong Parents’ Team provides support to the school and students.
 

Mynderse Academy Senior High School

Mynderse Academy Senior High School provides students with instruction in the core academic areas of English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Foreign Language, along with courses in Physical Education, Art, Music, Computer Skills, Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Business Education, Health Education, Chorus, Concert Band, and Jazz Band.  Advanced Placement courses are offered for US History, Calculus, English, Art, Business, Spanish, Health, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Guidance services, Special Education services, Academic Intervention Services, reading support, and counseling services are also provided.  Mynderse Academy students complete a required 20 hours of community service prior to Graduation.  Numerous co-curricular and extra-curricular offerings are provided to round out students’ high school experiences.  They include Student Council, Honor Society, Block M Club, Model United Nations, and Inter-Scholastic Athletics.
